Maintenance Technician - Nights

Your Opportunity:

Join Smurfit WestRock as an Industrial Maintenance Technician, where safety, teamwork, and growth are top priorities. You'll play a key role in maintaining electrical and mechanical systems in a fast-paced corrugated packaging facility, with opportunities to grow your career as you help power our customers\u2019 success.

Shift: Nights - 12hr; 5:30 pm - 5:00 am, 5 days per week (Monday - Saturday)

Your Impact:

• Perform skilled maintenance tasks across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, systems, wiring, and PLCs (AB, Siemens).

• Conduct preventive maintenance on belts, filters, bearings, valves, pumps, motors, compressors, and more.

• Install, test, calibrate, and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and process flows.

• Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager and monitor contractor work.

• Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance and safety procedures.

What You Bring:

• 2+ years of electro-mechanic experience (or military equivalent); journeyman preferred.

• Proficiency in AC/DC drives, power distribution, relay logic, and PLC troubleshooting.

• Strong understanding of NFPA 70E safety standards.

• Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.

• Must pass background check, drug screen, and physical.

• Willingness to work any shift and overtime as needed.

The salary range for this position is $26.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law. Paid vacation, and paid holidays, based on location and subject to annual change.
