Senior Mortgage Transaction Manager

We are seeking an experienced mortgage transaction professional to take ownership of complex whole loan acquisitions within a dynamic, deal-driven environment, as a Senior Transaction Manager

This is a hands-on, transaction-focused role requiring strong expertise in mortgage loan purchase agreements, due diligence, trade settlement, and post-closing activities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end execution of residential whole loan acquisitions, from trade confirmation through funding and post-closing reconciliation.
• Review Mortgage Loan Purchase Agreements (MLPAs), identify contractual risks, and coordinate with legal counsel and transaction counterparties.
• Oversee third-party due diligence across credit, compliance, valuation, title, and collateral review, including exception resolution.
• Coordinate custodial certifications, bailee letters, collateral documentation, and loan-level purchase tape reconciliation.
• Manage settlement activities, funding schedules, wire coordination, and purchase price reconciliations.
• Prepare transaction summaries, diligence reports, and investment committee materials.
• Oversee post-closing documentation, reconciliation, and EPO/EPD resolution.
• Manage multiple concurrent transactions while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience executing and closing residential whole loan transactions, including bulk acquisitions and flow programs.
• Background within a mortgage loan purchaser, asset manager, investment bank, or mortgage company.
• Strong knowledge of MLPAs, servicing and custodial agreements, and master repurchase agreements (MRAs).
• Experience managing third-party mortgage due diligence vendors and resolving loan-level exceptions.
• Solid understanding of residential mortgage products, including agency-eligible, prime jumbo, and non-QM loans.
• Experience with custodial processes, loan purchase settlements, and funding coordination.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with mortgage servicing, trading, or asset management platforms.
• Strong communication, organizational, and transaction management skills.
• Exposure to non-agency RMBS securitizations is a plus.
