Details Work in a 22-bed telemetry/med-surg unit caring for complex patients such as CHF, stroke, ESRD, and post-op cases Patients are admitted from ICU, ED, and PACU Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week) Requirements Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required BLS certification required ACLS, NIHSS, and Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required within 6 months of hire ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices Strong computer systems knowledge or ability to be trained Effective communication and collaboration skills with care team members Additional Information Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination across admission, transfer, and discharge Deliver patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning Collaborate with inter-professional teams and delegate tasks appropriately to other care team members Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates accepted at a lower rate Last 4 digits of SSN and MM/DD of date of birth required for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-769858.
