Kingman is an incredible community to live, work, and play!Position Purpose: As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for assisting and supporting registered pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications and providing exceptional customer service to patients in our outpatient pharmacy setting. Prepare medications and supplies for dispensing, including sterile preparations. Fill Pyxis machines and run reports as needed. Expedite the processing of prescriptions by performing all duties necessary and allowable by policy or law. Assist pharmacists with tasks associated with preparation of medications for patients prior to their hospital discharge. Communicate with third party providers to determine eligibility and obtain prior authorization. Maintain the prescription area in an orderly and sanitary manner. Assist with patient medication history, maintaining patient medication profiles and records. Answer the telephone and requests at the counter or window. Performs other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of department and organization.Qualifications:Education: High school or GED Equivalent or Pharmacy technician associate degreeLicensure: Arizona Pharmacy Technician License/Trainee LicenseCertification: PTCB National Technician CertificationExperience: 1+ years of previous work experienceWork Requirements: Ability to sit 13% of the time, stand 50%, walk 37% of the time, ability to distinguish colors, to carry or lift up to 34 pounds, knowledge of computer technology, accurate typing of 35 wpm, strong mathematical computation skills; expected duties do not have potential for exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.About Us: Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) is the largest healthcare provider and the only remaining not-for-profit hospital in Mohave County, Arizona.
