Cyber Software Engineer Principal - DSP Digital Signal Processing This position is part of the GG SIGNAL SWE program focused on mission‑critical system development, deployment, and evolution in the Digital Signal Processing domain. What We’re Doing Lockheed Martin, Cyber & Intelligence invites you to tackle one of today’s most daunting challenges: the evolving threat of cyber warfare. As a cyber security professional, you will protect critical networks, work with experts on threat protection and proactive prevention, and leverage Lockheed Martin’s resources to keep threats at bay. Responsibilities Provide SIGINT Development (SIGDEV) analytic support to optimize and develop assigned customer accesses, ensuring effective signal processing and intelligence gathering. Analyze module/model output from signals of interest to facilitate the creation of follow‑on processing and enhance overall signal interpretation. Design and implement software modules in MATLAB or similar suites to process signals of interest, meeting performance and accuracy standards. Develop novel approaches to utilize Commercial Off‑The‑Shelf (COTS) and Government Off‑The‑Shelf (GOTS) systems, creating solutions beyond their intended use and optimizing resource utilization. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including systems engineers and analysts, to gather requirements and ensure successful integration of software modules into broader systems. Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, algorithms, and software implementations to facilitate knowledge transfer and project continuity. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 20 years or more of professional experience. Considered an expert, authority in discipline. Possess all capabilities as defined by the GG Statement of Work (SOW) Appendix B for the USG standard SWE labor category level 3. Must possess the requisite security clearance and polygraph clearance to apply. Desired Skills Technical Skills Experience coding in C/C++ and Python. Experience with Software‑Defined Radios (SDRs), specifically REDHAWK/RFNext, GNU Radio, or similar platforms. Strong background in RF signals analysis and SIGDEV. Familiarity with development suites such as MATLAB or X‑Midas for signal processing tasks. Ability to design, develop, and implement systems within a Unix/Linux environment. Containerization Technologies Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of applications. Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Strong understanding of DSP principles, with a background in satellite communications system design and implementation of these concepts into software. Geolocation Technologies Familiarity with time and/or frequency geolocation technologies and their implementation in signal processing applications. C++/Python‑Based Tools Experience with C++/Python‑based signal processing tools and libraries. GPU/CUDA Development Knowledge of GPU/CUDA development for performance optimization in signal processing applications. Message Queue Implementation Experience with message queue implementation and communication protocols for efficient data handling. Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Adaptability and commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration. Clearance Level TS/SCI Work Schedules Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules, including a 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.
