Regular work hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, allowing for structured days and weekends free for personal time.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly residents, ensuring to identify individual care needs and preferences.

• Provide both individual and group counseling sessions to address emotional and psychological challenges stemming from aging, such as anxiety, depression, grief, and adjustment issues.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to create and implement comprehensive treatment plans aimed at improving patient outcomes.

• Educate families and staff on various strategies and interventions that promote emotional well-being and help manage dementia or other cognitive impairments.

• Deliver grief and loss counseling for residents and their families, especially those facing end-of-life issues, supporting them through difficult emotional journeys.

• Design and lead cognitive stimulation programs that enhance mental acuity and engagement in elderly individuals, contributing positively to their daily lives.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on an aging population, comprised of elderly individuals experiencing a variety of mental health challenges related to life transitions and aging. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

Compensation and Benefits\n
