Forklift Operator

Forklift OperatorWe are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to safely move, load, unload, and organize products within a warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of forklifts, using RF scanners, and supporting shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate forklifts and material handling equipment, including sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, cherry picker, and clamp truck.Safely load, unload, transport, and stack materials throughout the warehouse.Pick and stage orders accurately using forklift equipment.Use RF scanners to track inventory and update warehouse records.Organize inventory, pallets, and storage locations to maintain warehouse efficiency.Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including trailer loading and unloading.Conduct daily forklift inspections and report maintenance concerns.Follow all warehouse safety policies and operating procedures.Identify and report inventory discrepancies or damaged products.Cross-train on different types of warehouse equipment as needed.Work collaboratively with team members to meet productivity goals.Required QualificationsMinimum 1 year of forklift operating experience in a warehouse environment.Experience operating sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, and clamp trucks.Knowledge of material handling, loading, unloading, and order picking processes.Experience using RF scanners and inventory tracking systems.Valid driver's license.Comfortable working at heights when operating warehouse equipment.Strong attention to safety and ability to perform equipment inspections.Willingness to learn and operate multiple types of warehouse equipment.Preferred QualificationsExperience in shipping and receiving operations.Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse organization.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Good communication and teamwork skills.Flexible to work different shifts, including overtime and shift differential schedules.BenefitsCompetitive pay and shift differentials.Medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) retirement plan.Paid holidays and paid time off.Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Tuition assistance and career development opportunities.Employee referral program.Supportive and team-oriented work culture.Work EnvironmentFast-paced warehouse setting.Non-climate-controlled facility with varying temperatures.Frequent operation of forklifts and powered industrial equipment.Regular lifting, moving, loading, and unloading of materials.Working at heights may be required when operating reach trucks or cherry pickers.Safety shoes and warehouse-appropriate attire required.This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Peters, MO.The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
