Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients employing both standardized assessments and observational strategies.
- Design tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate goals and the long-term needs related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
- Administer individualized speech therapy interventions focused on aspects like language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Collaborate effectively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, family members, and caregivers to formulate cohesive care plans.
- Provide educational support to patients and families to foster progress beyond clinical settings.
- Occasionally engage in inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
- Keep accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
- Enhance your knowledge by staying updated with the latest advancements in the discipline through continued education and professional collaboration.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of joining.

- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies applicable to all age groups, including substantial knowledge of both developmental and acquired communication and swallowing impairments.
- Superb interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Ability to modify therapeutic techniques to accommodate varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical judgment along with adept problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation protocols.
