Yards SupervisorPosition at JBS USALocation: OmahaReporting to: Kill Floor General ForemanEssential Job Functions:Receive all cattle and handle proper paperwork associated with each loadOversee Yards team during sorting, weighing and lining up cattleVerify anti-mortem procedures working closely with veterinarian and USDAResponsible for ensuring compliance in humane handling proceduresPerform daily safety walks, correcting any non-compliance issuesWork with Quality Assurance department to ensure product quality and food safetyMonitors and confirms machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitizedTrains and develops employees to attain department objectives through teamworkKeep track of employee hours, schedules, and dutiesContribute to the ongoing development of JBS policies and proceduresExperience Required:Minimum of 1-2 years of experience handling live stockHigh School diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required3-5 years of experience working in beef slaughter operationsSkills/Abilities Required:Exhibit strong problem solving and leadership qualitiesMust be able to read, write, and speak EnglishProficiency in multiple languages preferred but not requiredDemonstrate effective interpersonal skillsDemonstrate strong verbal and written communication skillsGeneral computer proficienciesMust be able to work flexible hours, including some SaturdaysMust be able to work in extreme temperatures and stand/walk for extended periods of timeWillingness to travel at least 25% of the timeJBS is an equal opportunity employer.EOE, including disability/vets
