CNC Machinist III

Machinist Position

HiFyve is hiring a Machinist in the Manufacturing industry in Plymouth, MN!

Pay Rate: $32$38/hr

Location: Plymouth, MN

Shift: Day Shift 6:30 am to 3 pm

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate complex CNC machines, including horizontal/vertical milling and mill/turn machines with multi-axis, twin spindles, and twin turrets
• Operate machines of a complex nature with little to no supervision
• Edit machine programs as needed
• Select proper tooling for machining sequences
• Determine machining processes, feeds, and speeds
• Maintain setup sheets for new parts or design changes
• Instruct and mentor less skilled machinists and operators
• Perform finishing work such as deburring and sanding
• Inspect parts to ensure quality and specification compliance
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Demonstrate company core values

Education Requirements

• Associate or technical degree in Machining with 57 years of experience on complex equipment
• OR
• 810 years of experience with complex machining equipment
• OR
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• High proficiency in CNC setup and operation
• Strong knowledge of tooling, machining sequences, speeds, and feeds
• Advanced shop math skills
• Thorough understanding of part inspection methods
• Ability to train and instruct other machinists
• Programming experience is a plus but not required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Frequent use of hands and arms for handling tools and materials
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Visual acuity including close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
