Operations Finance Manager

New Beginnings of Central Florida Faith-based nonprofit empowering families to overcome homelessness, poverty, and crisis through Christ-centered support, job training, housing, and life skills. Full-time, on-site | Clermont/Orlando area, Central Florida Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 (based on experience) Reports to: Executive Director Our Mission Founded in 2007, New Beginnings helps individuals and families transition from crisis to stability. We teach responsibility ("teach people to fish"), provide affordable housing, job training, financial literacy, counseling referrals, emergency resources, and more—all grounded in our core values: Servant's Heart, Unconditional Love, Strong Prayer Life, Humility, and Integrity. We're creating this new leadership role to ensure excellent stewardship of resources so our frontline team can focus on life-changing ministry. Key Responsibilities Finance & Compliance Oversee accounting; ensure expenses align with approved program and operating budgets Review/approve non-recurring purchases for best pricing Monitor debit card activity for integrity Evaluate insurance coverage Maintain nonprofit and government compliance Assist with annual budgets and support CPA on financial reports/Form 990 and audit preparation (if applicable) Operations: Properties, Vehicles & Equipment Prioritize maintenance, repairs, and renovations Decide in-house vs. licensed vendor needs Manage preventive schedules (filters, vehicle logs, inspections) Inventory equipment/tools; handle minor IT support & staff training What We're Looking For A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ (essential) Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related 5+ years in operations + finance management 5+ years proven leadership experience Advanced QuickBooks skills Strategic thinker, problem-solver, tech-savvy/quick learner Experience in a nonprofit, church, or ministry setting strongly preferred Heart for serving those in need in a prayer-filled, team environment Demonstrated understanding of nonprofit stewardship (budgets, donor funds, and compliance) What We Provide Competitive salary + health benefits 5 personal days, 7 paid holidays, 10 vacation days (grows with tenure) Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM office schedule Opportunity to steward resources for eternal impact Location: Clermont, FL 34711 (required).
