Speech Therapist

Location: Angelina, Polk, and Tyler Counties Position Number: P #1450 Compensation: Negotiable, depending on qualifications and experience. About the Role Burke is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech, oral motor therapy, and consultative services to developmentally delayed and/or medically at-risk children from birth to age three through community-based and telehealth settings. As part of the Burke Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) team, this position also conducts screenings and assessments and participates in developing comprehensive, family-centered treatment plans. What You'll Do Provide speech and oral motor therapy in community-based and telehealth settings, as recommended by the interdisciplinary team. Deliver consultative services to children, families, caregivers, and team members. Conduct speech-language screenings and assessments for infants and toddlers who are developmentally delayed and/or medically at risk. Participate in the development, implementation, and review of comprehensive, individualized treatment plans. Document services accurately and timely in accordance with program requirements and professional standards. Collaborate with families and other ECI professionals to support each child's development in everyday routines and environments. Complete required program training and maintain compliance with Burke policies and applicable licensing requirements. Qualifications Required Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university. Current ASHA certification. Current Speech-Language Pathology license is issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Valid Texas driver's license and a driving record insurable by Burke's insurance administrator. CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, and all other training required by the program. Preferred One (1) year of experience working with children from birth to age three and/or preschool-age children.
