Schedule Information

• Day shift: 6:00 AM-6:00 PM
  
• Night shift: 6:00 PM-6:00 AM
  
• 12-hour shifts
  
• PRN scheduling based on facility needs
  

Certified Nursing Assistant Requirements

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant credential required
  
• Previous hospital or rehabilitation experience preferred
  
• Ability to provide age-appropriate patient care
  
• Knowledge of infection-control and patient-safety procedures
  
• Ability to obtain and document vital signs accurately
  
• Strong communication and documentation skills
  
• Ability to respond appropriately during urgent or stressful situations
  
• Flexible, organized, and able to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
  
• Compassionate and respectful approach to patients and their families
  
• Commitment to protecting patient safety, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality
  

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care according to established standards and each patient's age-specific needs.
  
• Assist with bathing, showering, oral hygiene, hair care, peri-care, and other personal-care needs.
  
• Change bed linens and maintain clean, organized patient rooms.
  
• Prepare patients for meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
  
• Distribute drinking water and other approved nourishment.
  
• Answer call lights, anticipate patient needs, and complete rounds.
  
• Assist patients with dentures, glasses, hearing aids, prosthetic devices, and other personal belongings.
  
• Position, lift, turn, and assist patients with ambulation using proper body mechanics.
  
• Assist patients with bedpans, commodes, and specialized equipment.
  
• Transport patients safely throughout the hospital.
  
• Obtain and document temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, weight, intake, and output.
  
• Observe patients for changes in condition, behavior, pain, redness, or skin breakdown.
  
• Report patient concerns and changes promptly to licensed nursing staff.
  
• Assist nursing staff with admissions, transfers, discharges, and treatment procedures.
  
• Support rehabilitation treatment plans and help patients reach their optimal level of functioning.
  
• Maintain accurate documentation according to facility standards.
  
• Follow all infection-control, patient-safety, and confidentiality procedures.
  
• Perform additional duties within the nursing assistant's scope of practice.
