Desktop Publishing And Printing SpecialistWe are seeking candidates with 1+ year of experience in desktop publishing and printing to join our team in NYC! Ideal candidates will be ready to grow their career in facilities and office services, and to take advantage of internal opportunities at IST Management for training and development toward advancement into management roles. IST Management has also been included in the INC 5000 list!ResponsibilitiesPrint Designing:Creating CMYK or RGB print ready files for printing on Large Format PrinterFile converting to best format for printing on the Large Format PrintersResizing and editing files to a specific size upon clients request using Adobe Photoshop CC and/or Adobe Illustrator CCDesigning and creating images regarding special announcements such as fire drills, construction, retirement banners, annual events, etc.Large Format printing:Daily use of Canon IPF8100 and HP DesignJet Z6600 Large Format Printers.Consistently changing 36" and 42" rolls of Satin Photo Paper in and out of the large format machines when neededCalibrating both machines weekly for best color matching resultsWeekly installing new ink tanks, print heads, and cutter bladesMounting prints to foamboard using the Smooth Mount Laminator PBLMIL- 4025Trimming mounted foamboards using the wall cutter if neededAdditional responsibilities may include:Operating mailing, copy and fax equipmentMaintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitudeTyping correspondence, filing, copying, data entry, word processing, sending and receiving faxes, sorting mail and other administrative tasks as assignedShipping & Receiving; Ordering supplies; Updating employee listsPick-up and deliver mail, parcels, copy jobs and faxes to customers; Lift large bundles of mail, overnight packages and shipments of paperHandle time-sensitive material like confidential, urgent packagesMaintain copier equipmentDemonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high volume, production environmentConsistently adhere to business procedure guidelines; Take direction from supervisor or site managerParticipate in cross-training Maintain all logs and reporting documentation; attention to detailAdhere to all safety proceduresPerform other tasks as assignedQualificationsDocument Design/Print Production experience requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED) - College Degree is a plus and allows a fast track plan to managementProfessional appearance and demeanorKeyboarding and windows environment PC skillsExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenAbility to effectively work individually or in a team environmentCompetency in performing multiple functional tasksAbility to meet employer's attendance policyA valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation to and from workLifting up to 55 poundsIST Management provides reasonable accommodations to individuals with a disability in accordance with applicable law in both the application and employment stages.
