Diesel Technician

Overview Diesel Mechanic/Technician responsibilities include repairing and maintaining diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and diesel equipment. Responsibilities Repair and maintain diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and equipment. Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex diesel engine conditions and perform necessary repairs. Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding repairs. Perform quality control to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Keep paperwork updated and submit upon completion. Meet requirements for certifications. Qualifications Valid driver's license (CDL holders may receive bonus compensation). Good work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability. Excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product. Experience with other diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, and International is a plus. Other mechanical skills desired but not essential: hydraulics, brakes and suspension, manual transmissions, drive train, and automatic transmissions. Must be physically able to lift and work without restrictions. Technical degree or certification is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent. Must have own set of general tools.
