Proj. Director

Project Manager

This position is responsible for the planning, execution and finalization of assigned projects in accordance with performance, budget and timing requirements. This includes utilization of resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contracts or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. This position will also define project objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Directs and manages project development from beginning to end
• Define project scope, goal and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
• Track project milestones and deliverables.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
• Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Essential Education, Skills, and Environment Education and Work Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related specialty and 10 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills Excellent knowledge of the utility business and industry practices. Requires demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships. Excellent negotiation, critical thinking, project management, communication, decision making, presentation, human relations, and organization skills.

Equipment and Applications PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database software.

Work Environment and Physical Demands General office environment. No special physical demands required. Occasional travel required.
