Senior Director, Telehealth Operations

Position Summary This position is responsible for producing desired results associated with service excellence, quality clinical outcomes, and financial integrity for the Banner Telehealth Network. Designated operations include accountability for growth spanning multiple clinical programs. The role provides leadership in the development, implementation, and oversight of standards, systems, policies, and procedures in alignment with the organization’s strategic initiatives. It serves as the primary advisor to senior management on related matters and acts as a role model to staff across the system. Core Functions Promotes high performance expectations for leadership/management, ensures effective identification, recruitment, development, and maintenance of talent, sets clear expectations, motivates and develops team members, and promotes teamwork. Directs and oversees financial stewardship, maximizes operating margin, and makes appropriate financial decisions for designated operations. Maintains a service‑excellence culture, communicates ongoing with employees, leads Continuous Quality Improvement, educates staff, and supports cultural transformation. Develops and maintains positive relations with physicians, employees, patients, families, regulatory agencies, contractors, and other parties, fostering collaboration within a highly matrixed team. Provides leadership in strategic, tactical, program, and operational planning; uses forecasting and planning to identify capital and technology acquisitions and program development opportunities. Implements a Patient Safety Plan that fosters a blame‑free environment, prioritizes safety, allocates resources for improvement, and ensures disclosure of untoward outcomes. Maintains ongoing communication with employees about strategic direction, conducts routine forums, and addresses issues in a timely manner. Leads multi‑facility performance and operations, plans short and long‑term goals, and has overall budgetary responsibility for administrative functions. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in management, preferably healthcare administration, plus five or more years of progressively responsible administrative leadership in an integrated healthcare or large complex environment. Applicable certifications/licensures such as RN, MD/DO, Driver’s License, CHPA, CPP, CPCU, ARM, CPA, SPHR, RHIA, RHIT, CHFM, CFM, CCS, CPC, JD, or state bar admission. Proven track record partnering with physicians to achieve organizational outcomes. Experience leading fiscally sound, profitable, efficient healthcare operations. Strong financial and business acumen, budgeting, forecasting, capital planning skills. Knowledge of emerging trends in quality and patient safety. Skilled in coaching, developing direct reports, setting aggressive priorities, allocating resources, negotiating vendors, fostering relationships with medical staff and community. Excellent human relations, organizational and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Additional related education and/or experience.
