Role Overview

The Operator for medical components manufacturing is responsible for performing and supporting the Draw Tower manufacturing process to produce tubing products. This role ensures safe operations, accurate production monitoring, adherence to standard procedures, and effective communication with peers and supervisors. This position requires working at heights of up to three stories on an open lift and a weight capacity limit of 300 pounds.

Day shift is Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Overnight shift is Monday - Friday, 11:00pm - 7:30am

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and use all Draw Tower equipment, components, and terminology.
• Monitor standard tubing draws, including microscope-based product dimension verification and reel changes.
• Perform cleaning and fire-polishing of standard tubing with supervision.
• Identify equipment or process issues and promptly notify supervisors.
• Complete daily schedule checks and coordinate shift handovers.
• Follow all established safety procedures and work safely with chemicals, equipment, and materials.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing gas cylinders and cleaning coating buckets.
• Accurately complete all data entry and paperwork related to manufacturing activities.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 12+ years of mechanical, manufacturing, military, or related experience.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to use a calculator for production calculations with supervision.
• Ability to follow written procedures and recognize when to escalate issues.
• Capability to work effectively in a continuous manufacturing environment.
• Accurate data entry and legible documentation skills.
• Manual dexterity and ability to work with small parts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to work from lifts up to 40 feet above ground.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP.

Work Environment

• Works under the guidance of the Shift Supervisor or Senior Operator.
• Must be able to work safely with chemicals, equipment, and continuous-operation production systems.
• A background check and drug screen (excluding cannabis) are required prior to starting.

Compensation & Benefits

The pay rate for this position is $20.00 per hour on the day shift. The overnight shift with pay differential is $23.50 per hour. A higher rate may be considered for a well-qualified candidate.
