What you’ll need to be our Family Service Worker: Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent Proactive approach to maintaining productive partnerships, ideally with external community partners Skilled in active listening and building trusted relationships with others Previous experience in Head Start/Early Head Start, as well as advanced training/certification or post-secondary degree in human services or a health-related field is preferred Head Start/Early Head Start parents will receive preference for employment vacancies for which they are qualified Intermediate computer skills in using word processing, spreadsheets, Google Suite tools, etc. Why you’ll love working with us: Starting at $17.91 per hour, with additional compensation available based on education and qualifications. What you’ll do as the Family Service Worker/Site Coordinator: Recruit, enroll, and support eligible families, maintaining accurate and timely documentation Build positive and trusted relationships with families that foster engagement, open communication, and partnership in achieving family goals Build community partnerships to connect families to resources and services that promote health, stability, and self-sufficiency Engage parents through activities that promote child learning and development Make specific efforts to actively locate and recruit pregnant mothers, children with disabilities and other vulnerable children, including homeless children and children in foster care Collaborate with families to identify strengths, interests, needs, and goals related to the family engagement outcomes, especially family safety, health, and economic stability Support daily center operations by coordinating staffing, communicating with staff, families, and management, and providing leadership during emergencies, drills, and unexpected situations. Oversee daily operations of the assigned center to ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for children, families, staff, and visitors. Monitor staff time and attendance records in accordance with RUCD policies and timelines.
