Payroll Title: HOSP BLANK AST 4 Department: COMM CARE PRIMARY CARE Hiring Pay Scale: $31.69 - $39.42 / Hour Worksite: La Jolla Ambulatory Clinics Appointment Type: Career Appointment Percent: 100% Union: EX Contract Total Openings: 1 Work Schedule: Days, 8-Hour Shifts, Monday-Friday Filing Deadline: Mon 6/15/2026 Description Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager, the Patient Service Representative Lead primarily oversees and provides leadership and training for all front‑end duties such as reception, call center, referral and authorizations and other advanced administrative duties such as templates, office purchases, coaching, etc. The Lead has oversight over junior counterparts and serves as a resource for the entire department. With guidance of the Clinic Manager, the Lead initiates and participates in improvement efforts that directly impact the practice. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of four (4) years related experience in a healthcare setting, with extensive knowledge of administrative practices including using electronic health record (EHR) systems (EPIC) for scheduling, patient records, and billing. At least one year of supervisory experience in a large, complex healthcare environment. Knowledge of computer programs including Excel, PowerPoint, Graphs, Word, etc. Possess the skills, and extensive knowledge of practices in an Ambulatory setting. Previous experience as an administrative lead, effectively overseeing and managing front office administration. Preferred Qualifications Primary Care, Express Care, and/or OBYGYN experience. Experience developing standard work, including process standardization, quality improvement, training, and collaboration. Experience in Artera or similar patient communication tools. Special Conditions Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical. Able to flex work hours and locations, including overtime, weekends, and holidays if required for business needs. Compensation Annual Full Pay Range: $66,169 - $82,309 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%). Hourly Equivalent: $31.69 - $39.42. Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
