Project Manager - Architectural Leadership

We are searching for a Senior Project Manager to join a renowned and nationally recognized architecture firm from their Seattle-area office, to take ownership of complex, multi-phase commissions and deliver them with the quality and precision the firm is known for.

The studio behind this opportunity is one of the most respected names in research and science facility design nationally; a firm whose reputation has been built over decades on the strength of their technical expertise, design quality and deep sector knowledge. They work with leading universities, healthcare systems and research institutions across the country, and their Seattle presence places this role at the centre of a thriving innovation corridor. The role itself carries considerably more weight than the title suggests. You will be the overall leader of your project teams and second in command of the office; accountable for scope, schedule, budget, profitability and the quality of the design and technical output. You will represent the firm directly to clients, manage consultant teams, lead internal reviews and be a key contributor to the firm's business development efforts. Beyond individual project delivery, you will be expected to mentor emerging talent, contribute to practice-wide initiatives and stay at the leading edge of how complex science and research buildings are designed and delivered. This is a role for someone who has moved well beyond pure project coordination and is ready to lead at the highest level.

To be considered, you will need to demonstrate:

• a minimum of 10 years in architectural practice with at least three years of direct project management responsibility on large-scale, complex facilities
• experience delivering projects in science & technology, higher education and/or healthcare plus a key understanding how these buildings go together, not just how to manage the program
• excellent client management and communication skills with the ability to build lasting institutional relationships
• a commitment to sustainable design, with working knowledge of LEED or equivalent certification platforms and the ability to integrate sustainability into project delivery
• the leadership presence and emotional intelligence to inspire and develop project teams, whilst maintaining accountability for outcomes
