Lead Inventory Coordinator

Lead Inventory CoordinatorResponsible for the procurement function for the surgical suites and Central Processing asset inventories. This includes insuring all supplies are readily available for scheduled cases while maintaining a volume that is cost efficient. Oversees the inventory and procurement process. Responsible for timely return of equipment and materials. Monitors the Inventory Coordinators workflow.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibility #1– 65%Procurement of supplies for surgical services and central processing departments.Physical stocking of supply locations from loading dock, to surgical services locations.Place orders in our ERP system, and manage par levels of high value items in our inventory management system.Responsibility #2 – 20%Work closely with purchasing team to ensure timely delivery of procured itemsManage backorders, and assist clinical team in identifying substitute itemsMaintain close relationship and regular communication with clinical teams and clinical managementResponsibility #3 – 15%Monitor daily workflow of Inventory Coordinators and assist Operating Room Materials Manager with daily operationsWork closely with Operating Room Materials Manager in identifying operational efficiency opportunitiesRequired QualificationsWork Experience: Years of Applicable Experience - 0 or more yearsEducation: High School Diploma or GED (Required)Preferred QualificationsSkills:Inventory ManagementExperience in leading small teamsAbility to work on a computer and be efficient in ordering practices in our ERP system and inventory management systemExperience:Supply chain experience in a healthcare settingAdditional Job Requirements:Remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of timeBe adaptive and change priorities quickly; meet deadlinesAttention to detailOperate computer programs and softwareAbility to communicate effectively with audiences in person and in electronic formatsDay-to-day contact with others (co-workers and/or the public)Making independent decisionsAbility to work in a collaborative business environment in close quarters with peers and varying interruptionsWorking Conditions: Hospital Environment Travel Requirements: No travel required Physical Demands: Heavy: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
