Nurse Manager - ED - ER Services

This is a Nurse Manager – ED/ER Services opportunity in Dallas, TX, supporting a 895+ bed tertiary care center with a full-service adult hospital, pediatric hospital, and separate adult and pediatric emergency departments. The emergency department includes 41 wall beds and 16 hallway beds. The role. Reporting into hospital leadership, the Nurse Manager oversees a team of 35 FTEs and holds full accountability for the planning, organizing, directing, and evaluation of services delivered within the Emergency Department. The manager collaborates with nursing and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure care is delivered in conformance with recognized nursing techniques, established standards, and administrative policies. A key focus of this role is developing and recommending policies, procedures, and programs that improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of patient care in partnership with medical staff and other disciplines. The manager also cultivates and maintains strong physician relationships and serves as a primary point of contact for operational and patient care issue resolution across the department. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Advanced degree preferred. Current RN License in the State of Texas or compact license. AHA or ARC BLS provider. AHA or ARC, ACLS, and PALS within 6 months. TNCC is required within 18 months. ENPC or CEN within 18 months. Five years of recent progressive management experience to include: management of staff including supervisory positions, budget preparation, physician relationship management, resolution of operational and patient care issues, demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement, and coordination of a multi-disciplinary team.
