NP Addiction Medicine opening in MAFull timeBurlington, MAJoin a nationally recognized, hospital-based psychiatry program in Eastern Massachusetts. We are expanding our services and seeking a full-time or part-time Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to join our newly launched addiction consultation team, focused on delivering high-quality care to patients with substance use disorders in both inpatient and emergency department settings.Why Join Us? Be a Founding Team Member: Help grow a new inpatient and ED-based addiction consultation service Multidisciplinary Team Approach: Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and recovery support navigators Supportive Environment: Enjoy a collegial, mission-driven work culture and dedicated administrative support Teaching & Academic Opportunities: Academic appointments available through a regional medical campus Participate in the launch of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency Program beginning in 2025 Affiliated with One of Massachusetts' Largest Behavioral Health SystemsPosition Details: Schedule: Full-time or part-time, day shift Location: Hospital-based position with responsibilities in inpatient units and emergency services Scope of Work: Conduct psychiatric evaluations and addiction assessments Develop and manage treatment plans Collaborate closely with medical, psychiatric, and behavioral health teams Provide consultation and support around evidence-based treatment for substance use disorders, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT)Qualifications: Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited psychiatric nurse practitioner program Board-certified or board-eligible as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Licensure to practice as an APRN in Massachusetts (or eligible) Experience or interest in addiction psychiatry and working in collaborative care settingsCommunity & Location Highlights: Based in Eastern Massachusetts, just north of Boston Access to top-tier public and private schools, vibrant culture, and outdoor recreation Easy proximity to mountains, beaches, and all that New England has to offer
