Legal Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Project Manager (LPM) to partner with attorneys and business professionals to drive matter efficiency, financial performance, and client value. This role is ideal for a forward-thinking professional who is passionate about legal operations, financial management, process improvement, and leveraging AI-enabled technology to transform how legal services are delivered. What You'll Do As a Legal Project Manager, you will help attorneys successfully manage matters from inception through completion by providing strategic financial oversight and project management support. Key responsibilities include: Developing and managing matter budgets, forecasts, and financial plans Monitoring financial performance, including budget-to-actual results, WIP, realization, collections, and budget variances Partnering with attorneys to manage scope, staffing, financial risks, and client expectations Preparing financial reports, accruals, and budget updates for clients, attorneys, and firm leadership Leveraging AI-enabled tools and firm technology to improve matter management, decision‑making, reporting, and efficiency Collaborating with Pricing, Finance, Billing, and other business services teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives Driving adoption of legal project management best practices and enhancing reporting, processes, and financial systems What We're Looking For We're interested in professionals who combine strong financial acumen with relationship‑building skills and a passion for innovation. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required JD or MBA strongly preferred 5+ years of experience in legal project management, legal finance, pricing, or law firm financial operations Experience developing matter budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reporting Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience with law firm financial systems such as Aderant or Elite Strong proficiency with Power BI, data analysis, financial modeling, and visualization tools Demonstrated success in process improvement, technology adoption, and reporting enhancement Ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively with attorneys, clients, and business professionals Why Consider This Opportunity?
