Registered Nurse Contract Position - ICU/Step Down/Med-Surg

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Employee will work any 3 × 12-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 hours. Shifts will rotate based on staffing requirements.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit (ICU) or step-down setting. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, ensuring that all clinical activities are performed according to established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients in ICU and step-down units.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about health management and disease prevention.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Pennsylvania RN License is required.
• Experience in ICU, step-down, or medical-surgical nursing is preferred.
• RRT certification is preferred.
