Role Overview The Outpatient RN CAP 1 is an entry-level registered nurse responsible for delivering competent patient care in a hemodialysis setting. Key Responsibilities Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for assigned patients, including data collection before, during, and after dialysis treatments. Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and update patient care plans and educate patients and families. Administering medications, supporting emergency responses, and ensuring proper laboratory procedures. Providing leadership and training to staff and overseeing safe treatment delivery. Documenting patient progress, modifying treatment plans, and maintaining compliance with policies and regulations. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program with valid state licensure. CPR/BLS certification and nephrology nursing experience preferred, with at least 9 months of RN experience and 3 months in hemodialysis. Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills, with physical ability for patient handling and frequent standing. Ability to perform in a healthcare environment with exposure to infectious materials and possible physical demands.
