A Surgical Technologist (OR Tech II) opportunity is available at a 585+ bed hospital in Kansas City, MO, featuring a Level I Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, and Breast Care Center.

The role. Reporting into the surgical services team, the OR Tech II sets up and maintains the surgical suite with instruments, supplies, and advanced equipment to ensure safe, seamless procedures. In this role, you will scrub in and partner directly with the surgical team — providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating team needs throughout each case. You will assist with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while prioritizing patient comfort, privacy, and safety, and you will monitor patients and surgical equipment throughout procedures, responding promptly to any concerns. To qualify at the Tier II level, candidates must demonstrate competency as first scrub in at least three of the following specialty areas: Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, and Vascular Surgery.

What we're looking for.

• Must have 1+ years of OR Tech experience
• Tech II — In addition to meeting the requirements of an OR Tech I position, must also be competent to perform as first scrub in three of the four following specialty areas: Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine and Vascular Surgery
• Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT)
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire

Schedule. Available shifts include a mixed rotating-weekend schedule and a nights rotating-weekend schedule, both structured as three 12-hour shifts; an on-call requirement applies to this position.

Compensation. $25.00 - $35.00/hr plus $3 sign-on bonus
