Leave of Absence & Workers' Comp Specialist

A nationally recognized organization is seeking an experienced Leave of Absence & Workers' Compensation Administrator to join its growing Human Resources team. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, excels at managing multiple priorities, and is passionate about supporting employees through every stage of the leave and accommodation process. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a high-volume environment and has experience managing complex leave cases while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies. You will serve as a key resource for employees, managers, third-party vendors, and internal HR partners, helping deliver a seamless employee experience while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities: Administer the full lifecycle of leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, state and local leave programs, personal leave, military leave, and disability programs. Partner with third-party leave administrators to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant leave administration. Manage the ADA interactive process, including reviewing medical documentation, coordinating accommodations, and working with employees and managers to determine appropriate solutions. Oversee Workers' Compensation claims from initial reporting through resolution, partnering with employees, managers, payroll, adjusters, legal, and HR stakeholders. Maintain accurate leave and workers' compensation records, ensuring all documentation, case notes, and employee communications are completed in a timely manner. Process payroll-related leave transactions, benefit invoices, and other leave-related administrative tasks while ensuring compliance with company policies. Monitor OSHA reporting requirements, maintain regulatory documentation, and support ongoing compliance initiatives. Analyze current workflows, identify opportunities for process improvements, generate reports, and assist with HRIS and leave management system enhancements. Provide exceptional customer service while handling sensitive employee matters with professionalism, empathy, and discretion. Qualifications: 4+ years of experience administering Leave of Absence and/or Workers' Compensation programs. Strong working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and multi-state leave regulations. Experience partnering with third-party leave administrators and coordinating complex leave cases. Proficiency with HRIS platforms, Microsoft Excel, Word, and other business systems. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage a high volume of concurrent leave cases. Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality. Ability to prioritize competing deadlines, solve problems proactively, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
