Clinical Requirements & Patient Population

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of solid CVICU experience. Must hit the ground running with zero equipment/clinical training.
• Core Patient Population: Post-open heart surgical patients (CABG, Valves, Dissections, AAA, Vascular/Carotids), STEMI, Unstable Angina/N-STEMI, Cardiogenic Shock, Cardiomyopathy, Severe Heart Failure, TAVRs, and ventilated/COVID overflow. (VAD and Transplant coming soon, but not required for this role).
• Lines & Equipment: IABPs, Impellas, Swan-Ganz, ECMO, External/Temporary Pacemakers, CRRT. PICC, Midlines, CVC, and Arterial Lines (radial/femoral).
• Respiratory Interventions: Ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, heated high flow, and Nitric Oxide. (RNs troubleshoot).
• Required Skills: Advanced titration of multiple drips (including dopamine, dobutamine, levophed, epi, neo, vasopressin, cleviprex, propofol, fentanyl, versed, insulin, heparin, esmolol).
