Job Summary We are seeking an Associate Attorney for a direct hire opportunity with a Florida legal team in Venice, FL. The Associate Attorney will provide practical legal guidance, draft estate planning documents, manage estate administration files, and support clients through sensitive financial and family-related decisions. Key Responsibilities Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, probate avoidance, and succession planning. Draft, review, and update estate planning documents based on client objectives, family circumstances, asset structure, and financial goals. Manage estate administration and probate matters from initial consultation through completion. Advise personal representatives, trustees, beneficiaries, and executors regarding legal responsibilities, rights, timelines, and administration requirements. Communicate professionally with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, government agencies, accountants, and other professional advisors. Maintain organized case files, track deadlines, and help ensure matters progress efficiently and accurately. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $80,000 to $95,000 per year. Location: Venice, FL. major medical dental vision 401k any statutory sick pay where required Required Qualifications and Skills Manage estate planning matters involving wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and related documents. Handle estate administration and probate files, including filings, asset distribution, creditor claims, and beneficiary communications. Provide legal counsel to individuals, families, fiduciaries, and beneficiaries with professionalism and care. Maintain accurate documentation, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively with clients and professional contacts. Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Florida. 3 to 5 years of attorney experience, preferably with exposure to estate planning, probate, estate administration, or related legal matters. Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, and client counseling skills. Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize deadlines, and maintain organized case files. Professional communication style with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and compassionately. High attention to detail, sound judgment, and commitment to ethical legal practice. Preferred Qualifications Experience drafting estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, and health care directives. Prior probate or estate administration experience in Florida. Experience working directly with families, personal representatives, trustees, beneficiaries, accountants, and financial advisors. Interest in building a long-term practice focused on estate planning, probate, and client relationship development.
