Packaging Technician II

Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

• 1+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

• Adheres to standard operating procedures to operate packaging equipment (printers, coders, labelers, vision systems, tray assemblers, heat tunnels, dryers, forklift, storage units, etc.).
• Assists during set up of packaging equipment (printers, coders, labelers, vision systems, tray assemblers, heat tunnels, etc.).
• Maintains all waste materials in the proper satellite storage bins.
• Assists in completing all documentation required to request all products, materials, components, and general supplies required for the day-to-day operations of the packaging department.
• Accurately performs reconciliations within the batch records of products, materials, and components used in packaging.
• Effectively and efficiently assists in troubleshooting packaging equipment to package quality products per standard operating procedures.
• Effectively provides/reports information on process deviations.
• Trains others as assigned/needed.
• Observes, challenges, advises, and supports teammates to adhere to policies and/or procedures.
• Effectively communicates process and/or equipment needs.
• Responsible for data entry which includes recording product packaging information, downtime, and standard production yields.
• Maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment.
• Maintains facilities and equipment as required by standard operating procedures.

Nice to Have:

• Twelve (12) months of manufacturing experience.
• Equipment troubleshooting knowledge and skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to operate a reach truck forklift.
• Basic aptitude for math and computer skills.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years relevant experience; 3 years relevant experience preferred.
