Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to ascertain each patient's unique trauma history and create personalized treatment plans.

  • Implement evidence-based techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group therapy settings.

  • Facilitate both one-on-one therapy and group sessions, aiding patients in processing their trauma, developing effective coping strategies, and fostering emotional healing.

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and holistic care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients.

  • Provide crisis intervention resources during trauma-related emergencies and empower patients and families through education on trauma responses and coping mechanisms.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards to safeguard the confidentiality of patient information.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in case consultations and team meetings to refine skills in trauma-informed care and stay current with industry best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with trauma survivors, including those experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patient population is diverse and may include individuals of various ages and backgrounds who are seeking compassionate support and understanding as they navigate their healing processes.

Qualifications\n

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Pennsylvania.
  • \n
  • Proficient understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed methodologies are essential.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and a non-judgmental attitude toward clients.

  • Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications relevant to the role.

Preferred Experience\n

  • At least two years of post-licensure experience working with trauma-focused therapies and interventions is preferred.
