Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a pharmacist to serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a small acute care hospital in Waukesha, WI. You will hold full PIC responsibilities within a unique hospital setting featuring a 7-bed Emergency Department and an 8-bed inpatient Micro Hospital. The role is based on a 13-week contract with Monday through Friday day shifts, totaling 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the sole PIC, overseeing pharmacy operations and compliance
• Perform staff pharmacist duties including order verification and medication dispensing
• Conduct audits to ensure regulatory adherence and mitigate risk, especially given the site’s history of controlled substance diversion issues
• Manage restocking and inventory control within an automated Omnicell system
• Utilize Epic for order entry and pharmacy documentation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Wisconsin pharmacy license is required
• Demonstrated pharmacy management experience, preferably as PIC or Director of Pharmacy
• Experience working in an inpatient hospital pharmacy environment
• Familiarity with controlled substance compliance and diversion prevention protocols

Work Environment:

• Acute Care Hospital setting with a small inpatient and ED patient census
• Independent operation with only the PIC on staff; no additional pharmacy personnel
• No sterile compounding responsibilities

• Monday to Friday, Days
• 40 hours per week
