Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois, or eligibility to obtain it quickly
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in an acute care setting
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Comfort using EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems
• Must meet facility compliance requirements, including required health screening and documentation

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside care to medical-surgical patients in an acute care setting
• Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to nursing standards and hospital protocols
• Document assessments, care plans, and patient responses accurately in EPIC EMR
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers while maintaining patient safety and continuity of care
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient outcomes
• Promote a positive patient experience through compassionate, professional RN care
