Are you passionate about making a difference in patients’ lives? We are looking for a dedicated Patient Care Technician – Specialist to join our dynamic Emergency Department.
The position offers opportunities for growth, with a clear career ladder from Nursing Assistant to Patient Care Technician – Lead. A starting pay rate of $19.40/hour for Nursing Assistants is offered, based on experience and qualifications.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform patient care tasks, including ADLs, point-of-care testing, and basic medical procedures (e.g., IV/foley insertion/removal, specimen collection, wound care, etc.).
- Assist with physical, respiratory, and cardiopulmonary therapies; report patient status changes to RNs.
- Participate in patient/family education, quality initiatives, and department projects.
- Adhere to safety policies, document accurately, and complete work efficiently
- Transport cardiac-monitored patients and perform advanced tasks based on departmental needs (e.g., EKGs, NG tube removal).
- Engage in continuous learning, feedback, and self-review.
