How you'll make an impact in this role

• Medication Order Review and Safety: Interpret and evaluate inpatient physician orders, check for therapeutic appropriateness, correct dosages, drug interactions, and contraindications to prevent adverse events.

• Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration: Partner directly with physicians, nurses, and clinical teams during rounds and care planning to optimize patient drug therapies and improve health outcomes.

• Compounding and Quality Assurance: Accurately compound, prepare, and verify specialized sterile and non-sterile inpatient medications—such as intravenous (IV) admixtures—following strict safety and hospital guidelines.

• Clinical Oversight and Impact: Monitor active patient drug regimens, perform medication reconciliations, and guide hospital staff on rational, evidence-based medication usage to elevate overall care quality.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):

• Pharmacist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required. Master's degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy preferred.

Additional Preferences:

• 2+ years of experience in hospital pharmacy preferred

• A working knowledge of computers

• Excellent interpersonal skills, in-person and via phone
