Position Summary Senior Project Manager manages the overall project direction, completion and financial outcome for assigned projects. Responsible for directing and mentoring on-site staff. The position requires business management acumen and must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as strong communication and client service skills. Major Duties & Responsibilities Leads implementation of Operation Zero and all Manhattan safety policies Leads Strategy Conflict Resolution Process with Owners with PD Guidance Serves as Lead Owner/Client Interface Serves as Client - Project Executive Point of Contact Co-Leads Pursuit Strategy with Marketing/Business Development Assistance Oversees Change Management Process Develops Project Staffing Plan Oversees development and implementation of Project Execution Plan Able to Manage Large, Complex, and/or Multiple Jobs Review & Approve Project Execution Plan Assists in negotiating and finalizing Owner Contract Agreements Other duties as assigned Responsible for conducting themselves in accordance with our Guiding Principles and exhibiting attributes matching the Way We Work Job Skills & Abilities Guidelines Has completed OSHA 30-Hour Safety Certification and First Aid & CPR Training and Certification Effective Communicator Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products Proven experience in Manhattan document control and schedule software Thorough understanding of the industry Strong written and verbal communication skills Good math/accounting skills Strong management skills Functions effectively as part of a team Ability to develop or maintain relationships with clients Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times Dependability Excellent time management and organizational skills Strong decision-making/problem-solving skills Comfortable public speaking skills Thorough understanding of contracts and risk management Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree - Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent. May substitute required education degree with related experience on a one-to-one basis Must have minimum of 15 years of industry experience Proven ability to manage multiple projects in excess of $75 million Ideal candidate has project experience in Aviation, Mission Critical, and/or Higher Education sectors Working Conditions and Physical Efforts Adaptable to all types of weather conditions and able to traverse and inspect all areas of a construction job site, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching Physically able to stand, bend, sit for long periods, and squat Ability to repeat the same movements Ability to communicate effectively to participate in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls Ability to compose, send, and reply to emails and written correspondence Must be able to lift, pull, or move up to 50 pounds at a time Travel may be required occasionally, primarily in the metropolitan area but sometimes domestically (must have a valid Driver’s License) Exposure to characteristic construction site hazards About Manhattan Founded in 1896, Manhattan is a top-ranked national construction services firm that provides preconstruction, construction management, program management, general building, and design-build services.
