About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ED/MS Swing Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights, every other week Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: One year of MedSurg experience Description: Unit has a diverse patient population with varying diagnoses. RNs are responsible for titrating drips as needed. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 to 4 for acute care. Floating to other departments may be required. Charge nurse responsibilities may also be assigned. The unit has access to various respiratory equipment such as vents and CPAP. Real-time monitoring is conducted, and RNs are trained to read telemetry strips. Shifts alternate between days and nights. Weekends and holidays are required every other time. Cancellations of shifts may occur. Charting is conducted through an electronic health record system.
