Forklift Operator

Our client, a leading logistics and warehousing organization, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the warehouse operations team supporting material handling and inventory management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: Edgewood, NY

Pay Range: $22 - $22.50

Shift: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts within the hours of 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Duration: temp-to-hire

What's the Job?

• Load, unload, and move materials within the work site efficiently and safely

• Inspect materials for quality and defects, ensuring only suitable items are handled

• Identify materials by part number or written description to ensure accurate processing

• Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas, maintaining organization

• Count, weigh, and record the number of units handled daily, ensuring accurate documentation

What's Needed?

• 2+ years of experience operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), including Reach Trucks

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly

• Experience operating rider pallet trucks and stand-up counterbalance forklifts is preferred

• Knowledge of warehouse safety rules and traffic patterns

• Ability to perform put-away and replenishment tasks accurately using RF or warehouse management systems
