Business Development & Client Growth Develop and strengthen relationships with public and private sector clients throughout the Raleigh market Identify new business opportunities and support strategic growth initiatives Lead client meetings, networking efforts, and proposal pursuits Expand the firm's regional footprint and market presence Serve as a trusted advisor to existing and prospective clients Technical Leadership Provide senior-level geotechnical engineering oversight on a wide range of projects Review, stamp, and seal engineering documents and reports Lead project planning, design reviews, and quality assurance efforts Offer technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards Team Building & Department Management Help establish and grow the Raleigh geotechnical team Recruit, mentor, and develop engineers and technical staff Manage project workloads, staffing, and departmental performance Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture Support long-term strategic planning for the office and region Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related discipline Professional Engineer (PE) license required 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience preferred Proven experience managing projects and client relationships Experience with business development and revenue generation Strong technical background across geotechnical investigations, foundations, earthwork, and related services Previous leadership, team management, or department management experience preferred Excellent communication and relationship-building skills What Makes This Opportunity Different?
