Public Relations - Adjunct

Position Summary The Communication Arts Department at California Baptist University seeks qualified individuals for its Public Relations part-t​ime adjunct pool. Openings to teach courses develop on a periodic basis depending on department teaching needs. Potential courses include Introduction to Public Relations, Personal Brand and Influencer PR, Crisis Communication, Strategic Event Planning and Experience Management, and related disciplines. Qualifications At least a Master’s degree in an appropriate field or a bachelor’s degree with significant related professional experience. Thorough knowledge of principles, methods, and current developments in the field of public relations. Demonstrated ability to support, instruct, manage, motivate, and evaluate students. Higher Education teaching experience preferred. Commitment to the mission of California Baptist University with clear integration of Christian faith and learning. Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) preferred. Teaching Responsibilities As an adjunct faculty member, responsibilities include teaching the specified courses, developing course materials, assessing student performance, and contributing to the department’s academic mission.
