Job Title: RN - OB Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Obstetrics Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: Full-time Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required - S.T.A.B.L.E Certification required - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a care plan prescribing interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and safety. Evaluates progress toward attaining patient outcomes. Identifies specific outcomes for patients or their situations. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe and humane environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients, families, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
