JOB DETAILS Level: Entry Job Location: Daniel Island Golf Club - Charleston, SC 29492 Education Level: High School Salary Range: $15.00 - $18.00 Hourly Job Shift: Any Job Category: Restaurant - Food Service JOB SUMMARY The Kitchen Steward is required to maintain the kitchen and surrounding areas in a clean and sanitary manner by following the cleaning schedules and adhering to the Health & Hygiene Regulations and Company policy and procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Cleans and sanitizes pots, pans, utensils, and other minor equipment routinely used in the kitchen following established procedures. Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organized at all times. Ensure floors are dry and clean at all times. Operate pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards. Adhere to all sanitation guidelines. Assist the Cooks and Servers as and when necessary. Collects and removes trash from all areas of the operation following established procedures. Carry out general cleaning as directed to include sweeping, mopping up, washing up, emptying of trash bins and boxes ensuring placement in the correct containers. Cleans and sanitizes dishes and related serviceware following established procedures. Cleans large equipment as assigned, following established procedures. Consistently adheres to SDS (Safety Data Sheet) information related to the proper and safe use of chemicals in the workplace. Knowledge and proficiency to operate industrial dishwashers. Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working order. Check all chemical levels and inventory. Wash, wipe, sort, stack dishes, and load/unload dishwasher. QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent. Highly responsible & reliable. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment. Ability to work cohesively as part of a team. Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times. Available to work nights, weekends and holidays. Ability to endure long periods of balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling and repetitive motions.
