Assistant Nurse Manager Pre-op/post-op/PACU

Assistant Nurse Manager Shift 4-10s (M-F). Hours 7:00A-5:00P (will need to flex at times). BSN required. Charge or supervisor experience preferred. 40-45 cases, 40 bays. Mostly outpatient surgeries. Pre/post/PACU or critical care experience preferred. Responsibilities Manages personnel including hiring, training, assignment of work, evaluation of performance, and professional development plans to meet departmental goals. Participates in staffing, revenue, and expense budget development and maintains adherence to those goals. Provides and oversees patient care planned interventions according to age and developmental needs, documenting as per policy. Creates and implements collaborative care plans based on assessment, diagnosis, and medical treatment. Reviews staff hours versus scheduled hours, approves daily payroll updates, reconciles time cards, and coordinates staff communications and meetings. Determines staffing needs, assigns overtime, recommends annual increases, and conducts performance reviews and coaching or corrective actions. Ensures staff productivity aligns with operational goals and performs staff performance evaluations. Maintains a constant state of alertness and safe environment as required for this safety‑sensitive position. Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Experience: 2–5 years in a similar role. Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN). Supervisor Experience: None required. Preferred Qualifications 5–10 years of experience. Charge or supervisor experience.
