CookThe Cook is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality, home-style meals for resort guests in a fast-paced, friendly fishing resort environment. This role supports daily kitchen operations by following recipes, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to a positive dining experience for guests enjoying their time on the lake.Prepare breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner items according to menu and resort standardsCook food to proper temperatures and ensure quality presentationAssist with menu prep, portioning, and platingMaintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspaceFollow all Minnesota food safety, sanitation, and health regulationsMonitor food inventory and notify management of supply needsProperly store food and label items according to guidelinesAssist with dishwashing and kitchen cleanup as neededWork collaboratively with other kitchen and resort staffAccommodate basic dietary needs and guest requests when possiblePrevious cooking or kitchen experience preferred (line cook, prep cook, short-order cook, or similar)Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food handling proceduresAbility to follow recipes and portion guidelines consistentlyStrong time-management skills and ability to work efficiently during peak meal timesDependable, punctual, and team-orientedServSafe or food safety certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)Ability to stand for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 40 poundsAbility to work in a warm kitchen environmentManual dexterity to handle kitchen tools and equipment safelyEarly mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be requiredSeasonal workload increases during peak fishing seasonsFast-paced kitchen in a casual, family-friendly resort settingCompetitive hourly pay based on experienceFlexible schedulingEmployee meal discounts or meals during shiftsEnjoyable lakeside work environmentFriendly, team-oriented resort culture401(k) with Employer Match: Eligible employees (21 years and older) can participate in our 401(k) plan, starting after 90 days of employment.
