Embark on an enriching contract opportunity to serve students at the high school level (grades 9-12) across two campuses near Soap Lake, WA. This is an in-person position lasting from ASAP through the end of the school year. As a valued member of a collaborative team of school psychologists, you will have opportunities to support both returning and new students and contribute to a supportive educational environment.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid and current School Psychologist credential/certification for Washington State (or eligibility)
- Background working with high school populations is strongly preferred
- Experience in conducting reevaluations and initial evaluations
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to special education
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; enjoys collaborating with fellow professionals
- Ability to work confidently across multiple campuses
Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete psycho-educational assessments, focusing primarily on reevaluations, with occasional initial evaluations as needed
- Develop comprehensive, insightful reports and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other psychologists to support student learning and growth
- Provide consultation, strategy development, and recommendations for student success
- Help maintain compliance with documentation and timelines set by district and state guidelines
- Be a positive resource for staff, students, and families in supporting academic and emotional well-being
