Instructor Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology

Description

The University of Tennessee Health Sciences Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology seeks a full-time non-tenure track Instructor.

• Conduct behavioral neuroscience experiments using mouse models including touchscreen-based cognitive behavioral testing.
• Perform histological and molecular experiments including tissue collection cryostat sectioning immunohistochemistry and fluorescence microscopy.
• Collect analyze interpret and maintain experimental data.
• Assist with the development and optimization of experimental protocols.
• Contributes to the preparation of scientific presentations manuscripts and research reports.
• Assist with laboratory operations and the training of students and other laboratory personnel as appropriate.

EDUCATION: Ph.D. in Chemistry Engineering Neuroscience Biomedical Sciences or a related scientific field.

EXPERIENCE: Research experience in Neuroscience or a related biomedical field. Experience with mouse behavioral experiments histology microscopy and quantitative data analysis is preferred.
