Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) nursing is sought for a position in a healthcare facility located in Petoskey, Michigan. The role involves working on a fast-paced, diverse 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit that cares for patients with general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke-related conditions. This assignment offers opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative and patient-centered environment.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Michigan nursing license; BLS (American Heart Association); at least 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical setting, with recent Level II or I trauma experience; no float or telemetry experience required; proactive in pursuing ongoing education and certification; position suited for experienced RNs with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
• Preferred Qualifications: Mobility to work full-time; previous experience on a Medical Surgical unit; familiarity with clinical pathways and interdisciplinary communication.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have a skills checklist completed within the last year. Travel experience is preferred.
