BayCare is currently in search of our newest part-time Rehab Office Assistant who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. St. Anthony's Resource Center - Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, conveniently located in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, offers a comprehensive range of outpatient rehabilitation services for adults and adolescents. Our highly skilled acute therapy team specializes in sports injuries, musculoskeletal disorders, post-surgical limitations and other conditions affecting mobility and quality of life.

The Office Assistant is responsible for:

• Support to rehabilitation department.

• Schedule patient appointments for rehabilitation services and coordinate therapist availability. Manage patient check-ins and update scheduling records as needed.

• Assist therapists and other rehab staff by organizing patient records, maintaining files, and ensuring all documentation is accurately filed. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered by the rehab department.

• Maintain inventory of office supplies and order as necessary to ensure smooth operations.

• Assist with processing patient billing, including verifying insurance coverage, preparing claims, and tracking reimbursements.

• Enter and update patient information, therapy notes, and other documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

• Facilitate communication between the rehab department, patients, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care.

• Ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for physical, occupational, and speech therapy departments.

Requirements:

• HS Graduate or Equivalent GED

• Office experience, preferred healthcare
